In 1990 a presidential decree No(462) was issued to establish The National Center for Examinations and Educational Evaluation (NCEEE) as an independent organization for studies and scientific research, with the aim of preparing ,evaluating & developing examination systems ,in addition to training to achieve the required targets of educational curricula and to build a student integrated personality i.e. his/her abilities, skills ,adaptation for development, maturity and creativity in various fields of culture, science and technology
NCEEE is a member of
the International Association of Education and Assessment (IAEA) and
of the International Association for Evaluation of Educational Achievement
(IEA).
Since the establishment of NCEEE,it has administered
various researches in the field of evaluation and examinations ,as well
as various researches in comparative studies in countries concerning
students achievements in addition to international comparative studies.
There is continuous cooperation between NCEEE and the various national & international organizations such as: ALESCO, UNESEF, European Union, UNESCO, and UNDP in addition to, the Arab evaluation institutions.
NCEEE develops item banks in various subjects, conducts training for supervisors & teachers and works on the comprehensive evaluation of schools and educational evaluation activities.
